ESCI Level 2About
I was raised in Gilroy, California, attending local schools with my older brother and younger sister. I began playing sports, specifically softball at the age of 9 and continued with softball throughout my adult life, playing in many women’s softball leagues. I started my family right out of high school and have 3 adult children, Daniel, Mallory and Megan and when I married my husband Jaime in 2015, I gained 3 adult stepchildren, Justine, Andrew and Samantha. We now have 9 grandchildren and another one the way. In my professional career I am a Patent Paralegal working in the foreign arena for Alston & Bird LLP. Jaime and I currently live in Santa Clara, California, with our fur baby Zeus. When I am not swimming, biking or running, I am reading, camping, enjoying coffee with my BFF or hanging out with my kids and grandkids.
Philosophy
Coaching athletes means unlocking their growth mindset and embracing their missed opportunities while consistently aiming for excellence in all aspects of life. I am a coach because I get joy and gratification from preparing and watching my athletes, who often think they can’t, figure it out and learn that they actually can. I implement Multiplier strengths, (i.e. Challenger & Liberator) that I have learned through the coaching certification program. I believe a positive, empowering environment is crucial for my athletes to challenge themselves and realize their full potential.

Experience
My background in endurance sports started in 2003 when I completed my first century bike ride. Since then I have completed over 80 different endurance events, from century rids, to marathons to Ironman triathlons. I am a triathlete with celiacs disease and focus on training and racing plant based. I served as a cycle and triathlon coach for Team in Training for 6 years before joining TriDot. My current focus is on beginner triathletes, specifically women over 40 and plant based or gluten free athletes. I completed my first century bike ride in 2003 and since then have trained for and completed over 80 different endurance events. It wasn’t until 2008 that I completed a triathlon and fell in love with the 3 different sports and in 2013 I took the leap to Ironman distance triathlons. I began my journey with TriDot in January 2020, became an ambassador in 2022 and am currently enrolled in the TriDot Coaching Certification program and look forward to becoming a TriDot Pool School Certified Coach. My niche is to work with beginners training for their first long distance triathlon.
