About

With over 25 years immersed in endurance sports, I’ve developed deep expertise across every aspect of triathlon training: nutrition, strength conditioning, gear, race strategy, and lifestyle integration. My experience has been shaped by mentors, personal study, and years of hands-on coaching. I hold certifications from USAT Level 1, Ironman University, 80/20 Certified Coaching, TrainingPeaks Level 2, and US Masters. I served as head coach of the YMCA triathlon program—guiding over 50 athletes —and now work with competitors nationwide through Gu3 Training. My athletes range from first-time finishers to those earning slots at IM 70.3 Worlds and Kona. My approach is built around balancing training with the demands of everyday life. By creating personalized plans and maintaining open communication, I remove the guesswork so athletes can focus on progress. Whether you're chasing your first Ironman or striving for elite results, I meet each athlete where they are—forming a partnership that supports growth and success on race day. Career Highlights: - 30× Ironman Finisher - 8× Ironman World Championship Kona Finisher - Ultraman Florida Finisher (2023) - USAT Ultra Distance National Champion

Philosophy

Coaching Philosophy My mission as a coach is to help every athlete reach their fullest potential—regardless of experience level. I draw from personal experience and years of working across the endurance spectrum to create thoughtful, customized training plans tailored to each athlete’s goals, schedule, and lifestyle. What truly defines a successful coach-athlete relationship is trust, built through open communication and consistent feedback. While anyone can follow a generic plan, the true value of coaching lies in crafting a strategy that meets the individual where they are and evolves as they grow. When communication is strong, execution becomes clear—and progress follows naturally. I have successfully coached multiple Ironman World Championship Finishers, Boston Marathon and finishers of all triathlon distances.
