About

As a 24 year veteran of Triathlons I'm always excited to help others in their fitness journey of this sport. My passion for running, triathlons and fitness has no boundaries. Sports in general has been a major part of my life. I played soccer for 29 years and have since retired from soccer due to a career ending severe knee injury during my 2nd year of triathlons. Since then I haven't looked back. I have had my struggles with injuries in the past related to the knee, but have overcame them with my training in TriDot. I have completed 2 IronMan events in my career along with several Half IronMan events improving each time I race. Since joining TriDot my passion for triathlon has only grown stronger. Coaching fellow athletes is priceless to me. I absolutely enjoy seeing others achieve their goals and set new ones season after season.

Philosophy

My approach to coaching is about precision and passion. I have always believed, if you are willing to begin...you will never fail. My coaching mindset is to fuel the athlete with both skills and motivation to reach their goals and cross the finish line. The TriDot approach to technique, intensity and support is unparalleled in the industry of fitness and Triathlon. As a TriDot athlete and Coach I emphasize the importance of family/life first. I believe in the importance of trying is the path to success no matter what you do. Helping my athletes reach their potential both mentally and physically is important to me. Communication is key with all my coached athletes. I'm here to help, guide, motivate and support each and every athlete I coach.

Experience

I began my running coaching career at Countyline CrossFit in 2009. From there I moved and expanded my role as the Director of Endurance and CrossFit coach at CrossFit 817 (2010) in north Fort Worth. I continue to coach at CrossFit 817 primarily focusing on the Pose Method of running and Endurance Athletes. I work with anyone new to running, middle/high school athletes, college level athletes and up to master level athletes. I have coached over 500+ athletes in the Pose Method which has led to multiple podium finishes, countless personal records and enormous reductions of injuries for both runners and triathletes. My Triathlon Coaching career began in 2015 and has continued to fuel my passion. In that time my athletes have crossed over every finish line from sprints to Ironman 140.6! As a 23+ year competitive veteran in the sports of triathlon and running I have come to the realization of effective training and the importance of time. Family ranks far above any sport and that is why I believe in Training with a Purpose. My motivation as an athlete began in my elementary years and has only grown and blossomed in my adult years. My passion for the sports has led me to coaching and passing on effective training through technique and a superior training program. I truly enjoy coaching any athlete new to running/triathlons and all the way up to master level athletes. I also promote, endorse and advise on proper nutrition, mobility and stretching as it applies to running, triathlons and fitness in general. My specific passion for running/triathlon and overall fitness has led me to attain a Pose Method Certification, Stages Cycling Certification and multiple CrossFit Certifications.
